The research is clear that music is helpful to enhance a sense of peace, relieve stress and generally increase happiness.

Starting your DNP or other degrees can be very exciting and stressful. Music has a very soothing, invigorating and therapeutic effect. My two favorite authors, in order of preference, are Dr. Daniel Levitn and the late Dr. Oliver Sachs who wrote about many healthcare issues. Dr. Levitan is an accomplished musician who went on the study music and is the James McGill Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at McGill University. When you have time you read about the science of music and how it affects us. Having taken 28 years to work and go to school, I’ve learned a lot about coping. Music is a great way to improve the quality of your life. Storytelling is also another part of learning and teaching and you will find some of my favorites I have listening to many time.
